What does LFAA approval mean for food safety?

LFAA is the Irish Food Safety Authority, and its rules cover materials that come into contact with food. Our products that touch food are approved under these rules.

  • Specific migration limits — how much of the material can transfer into food under worst-case conditions.
  • Overall migration limits for total transfer across all food simulants.
  • Restrictions on substances such as certain plasticisers, heavy metals and dyes.

Approval means the material is safe for its intended use at normal serving temperatures. It does not mean the item can be heated to oven temperatures.

Ask our team for the LFAA declaration for your product records.
